Our Story
Husband and wife Marco and Danielle Cepeda are super hosts with over 600 reviews on Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com and Google Maps, through their direct booking website. Starting in June 2022 their new property called Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach is providing 20 short term furnished vacation rentals, all in the heart of Deerfield Beach, one block from the beach.
Together they manage residential and commercial property which include retail, office, long term residential rentals and short term furnished rentals.
In June, they took over BeachWalk, a 20 apartment vacation rental building in Deerfield Beach Island. At closing on June 24th, 2022, BeachWalk had only one single guest and 19 vacant apartments with no future booking in place, forcing them to cancel all their vacation plans and move from their home and into the new property with their cat George Michael II. For two months they lived and worked 24/7 at the new Pier Walk, starting marketing, operations, and management from scratch.
Today, the new Pier Walk has already exceeded all previous winter bookings. and they have several future plans for the property that will connect art, food and travel together in Deerfield Beach in ways they believe hasn’t been seen before.
Their tag line, “Postcards from South Florida” is an affirmation that they strive to provide a meaningful local experience whether that someone is staying with them for a couple of days or a couple of months.
SHORT BIO
Danielle has a Masters in Arts Administration and Bachelors in Literature from her undergrad at Washington University. She’s also an academic coach for students who need help with executive function. Marco has a Bachelors of Science in Finance at New York University and has studied business and self improvement since he was 10 years old. They both met in NYC in 2008, moved to South Florida in 2014 and got married in 2015. They love the endless summers and look forward to sharing some sunshine in Deerfield with you!
Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach is a family owned vacation rental boutique. After traveling the world together for the past 15 years, they’ve noticed that they’ve had to pay higher and higher prices to get a good stay.
While they don't mind spending luxury rates for a luxury stay, they don't believe you should have to pay luxury rates just to get a good stay.
They like to think their properties have everything they'd expect without having to pay higher rates just to get it. A good location, at a good value and a good experience. Because that's what they expect when they travel!
Our Art Story 🎨
Since the launch of Pier Walk in December 2022, owners Marco and Danielle Cepeda have sought to connect the property with the rich history of South Florida and Deerfield Beach.
🖼️ The Front Mural
The iconic Pier Walk mural was a collaboration between Danielle Cepeda (who created the original concept) and MSG Concepts, a well-known professional artist who has created landmarks throughout South Florida including the Wynwood district, and has collaborated with Nike and Disney.
🌸 The Dreamweaver Pool House Mural
The newest and most exciting addition — artist Dreamweaver (Taylor Smith) wrapped the pool house at the foot of the courtyard swimming pool with a mesmerizing color field. See it up close with the LED lights after sunset — it's breathtaking!
🎸 George Was Here — The Hidden Deerfield Beach Story
In 1970, former Beatle George Harrison quietly stayed right here — at what was then The Shore Road Inn, known today as Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach.
It was a pivotal moment for Harrison — between the breakup of The Beatles and the release of his landmark triple solo album All Things Must Pass (November 27, 1970). Seeking peace and anonymity after years of Beatlemania, he visited family living in this quiet South Florida beach town. When anyone in town recognized him, he asked them to keep his visit a secret until he departed — and the town kept his secret for more than 50 years.
Local historian Jeff Fisk spent years digging into the rumors, and the Historical Society of Deerfield Beach confirmed the visit through archival photographs and first-hand accounts. It was commemorated with “George Was Here: The Best Kept Secret in Deerfield Beach,” a 55th-anniversary photography exhibition that opened November 7, 2025 at The Deerfield Beach Historical Society — only five minutes away.
As a historic tribute, Pier Walk is designating a studio featuring vintage 1970 postcard nostalgia and George Harrison memorabilia — a curated timeline of Then and Now.

☀️ Here Comes the Sun — Surfboard Shower Mural
Inspired by the vintage colors of the 60's and 70's, our new surfboard shower mural is a playful tribute to the musical history of Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach.
In collaboration with Florida based, urban artist Dreamweaver, the same artist behind our beautiful pool house mural.
🏖️ Oliver Gal Pop Art
The interiors are decorated with beach-y pop art by Oliver Gal, a local female-owned brand founded by sisters Ana Sanchez-Gal and Lola Sanchez — accomplished artists, authors, and business owners.
📮 Vintage Postcards
Along the walls of several apartments, you will find vintage postcards from South Florida dating from the 1930s through the 1970s. The original postcard from Pier Walk dates back to 1970 when it was originally built!
"The property, the postcards, the art and the mural all help us to tell the story of South Florida and Deerfield Beach. And when guests arrive, they become a part of that history and tradition at Pier Walk."
