WHO WE ARE:
Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach is a 20-unit boutique vacation rental complex run by a family management company. Our South Florida hub is based in the Fort Lauderdale area, where we manage assets that are commercial, commercial-residential, and short- term rental (STR) properties.
In this part-time role, you will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day housekeeping operations of our 20 Deerfield Beach STR apartments, which are located on the Deerfield Beach Barrier Island. If you have experience in hospitality and/or cleaning and you’re interested in the possibility of growing into a real estate supervisory role where you can demonstrate clear ownership, responsibility, and gain relevant hands-on experience, the Pier Walk Housekeeping Supervisor position is perfect for you!
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
The Pier Walk Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for facilitating and overseeing the Pier Walk on Deerfield Beach housekeeping operations for all 20 vacation rental units and is largely responsible for the performance of those properties with the goal of (1) maximizing listing reviews while offering a world-class hospitality experience for guests, (2) streamlining our operational practices, and (3) lowering the percentage of guest issues per booking. The Pier Walk Housekeeping Supervisor will need to be able to respond swiftly and professionally without delay.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Starting per diem rate of $20/hr for 21+ hrs per week (depending on needs of business) over 4-7 hour shifts between hours of 9 am and 4 pm, weekdays and/or weekends. After 40 hours of training, hourly rate can increase depending on performance and experience (not to exceed $25/hr in this role). After training, pay is every other week by ACH to your bank account. Pay is through a 1099 self- employment form that's reported for tax purposes, unless you have a company or LLC.
This position can lead to more hours and higher pay benefits on a quarterly basis.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluency in English
- At least 2 years of verifiable and applicable experience in hospitality and/or cleaning/maintenance
- Detail-oriented to handle deep cleaning and ensure listing accuracy
- Proficient with apps or tech coachable, including apps such as WhatsApp, Google Docs, etc.
- Submit and pass a background check; state or Federal ID required
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional & friendly demeanor, especially regarding check-in deadlines, guest requests, customer complaints, and interacting with housekeepers and other vendors
- Ability to work independently in the field, sometimes with little supervision
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean units and common areas according to a checklist. This includes common areas, checkout cleans, and monthly cleanings for extended stays; submit a cleaning checklist on our task management app as soon as each unit is ready for quality control.
- Quality control: Ensure that apartments and common areas are properly inspected, stocked & staged; submit a Quality Control checklist on our task management app as soon as each unit is ready for check-in.
- Supervise other cleaning staff and assistants; this involves working closely with them and giving them constructive feedback as needed.
- Ensure a positive experience for guests; field guest questions/issues and fulfill special requests in a friendly, calm, and professional Remember, we’re in the hospitality field and most of our guests are on vacation!
- Keep inventory of supplies; create shopping lists for the owners
- Arrange for pickup and delivery of all linens from the laundromat (i.e. bath towels, beach towels, sheets, kitchen towels, etc.); spot-clean as needed before pickup. (All linens are sent out except blankets and grey towels.)
- Inspect, sort, and store laundry after delivery; this includes lint removal, cutting hanging threads or pulls, light ironing, and occasional mending.
- Wash all blankets on-site during cleaning; spot-clean as This task goes to the team member assigned to each particular checkout clean.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot repair issues: Sometimes, it’s a quick fix and we are able to troubleshoot an issue and get it working right away. If this doesn’t work, we will then contact a vendor with photos and a description of the
- Assist in the scheduling of repairs with vendors as needed and communicate with owners; also provide photos to document completed jobs and upload them in our task management system.
- Assist in the scheduling of other cleaning staff and offer flexibility to step in when there are gaps in the schedule or additional support is needed.
